What is the E.coli Challenge?
Now in its 4th edition, the E.coli Challenge is a challenge in the true sense of the word.  It is the hash version of a real expedition race called the Eco-Challenge.

What is expedition racing?  It's a race for teams of adventurers, each team consisting of 3-4 members. The teams race up to 300 miles non-stop, 24 hours a day, to a finish line via a series of checkpoints. They utilize only non-motorized transportation such as canoes, kayaks, mountain bikes, white water rafts, horses, their feet and climbing ropes. It usually takes 6-10 days to complete a race course. The first team to cross the finish line together, in full complement, is the winner.  If a team loses a member due to illness, fatigue, injury, or a team disagreement, they are disqualified. Only teams that can work together as friends have any hope of reaching the finish line. Honest communication, compassion and remaining mission-oriented are essential expedition racing skills.

The Eco-Challenge is the granddaddy of them all.

So we're doing the hash version of it - the E.coli Challenge!  Naturally with hashers being what they are and being as physically fit as they are (ahem), we have to tone it down a little bit.  Ok a lot.  But the concept is still the same.  Four person teams r*cing to a finish line as a team.  Along the way, you'll encounter various tasks to be completed as a team, some even requiring the consumption of alcohol.  At the end, as in all traditional hashes, is the On-In where the winners will be recognized, awards given, beer consumed, toes sucked, etc.

NOTE:  Although this is a hash, it is NOT a lame trail.  You will be justly rewarded for your efforts.  If, however, you are a whiner or can't handle the required effort, we recommend you spare your body.
